Thank you

Harassment is any behavior intended to disturb or upset a person or group of people. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site. Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect. Any behavior that appears to violate End user license agreements, including providing product keys or links to pirated software. Any image, link, or discussion related to child pornography, child nudity, or other child abuse or exploitation. To help we need to know much more. How are you opening the file? What happens when you try? What error messages, if any, do you get? What is the format of the file? Hope this helps,

1 I have database contain a table (only 1 table)

2. I right click on the table then choose Import - Text File

3. I browse my text file (.txt)

4. Append a copy of the records to the table

5. OK

6. Microsoft Access Security Notice, Open

7. Error Appear (Improt Text Wizard - Reserved error (-5016); there is no message for this error)

Note: before i upgrade to win 10 (last I used win 8.1), Text File (.txt) with the same format can open normally

Have you tried repairing or reinstalling Office? Hope this helps,

Same problem here with my Desktop after Upgrade to W10

So I tried it on my laptop which is also running W10 and no error, so I looked into the region settings and noticed a difference between my Laptop and My Desktop:

Region\Formats\Match Windows display language (recommended) = Laptop

Region\Formats\United States = Desktop

Solution:  Change the Region\Formats to "Match Windows display language"

Worked for me can now import txt and csv files into access no problem.

Hope this helps GRB

Found the answer was to run a system file check.

1. Right-click on start menu and open a Command Prompt (Admin)

2. Type 'SFC /scannow'

3. Let it run to completion and then reboot the PC.

This also fixed Dreamweaver CS6 which wouldn't start at all before the upgrade!
